When you invest in a Jasyn Lucas original art, you are not just buying a painting, you are supporting a legacy that inspires and drives his spirit. This energy you support allows him to create and promote strong relationships and movements within the circles he visits. Things to consider when placing value on original art;

  • Is the artist active within their community, province, country?

  • Do they push their discipline through social involvement and public exhibitions?

  • Do they have an Artist Biography, Mission and Vision that aligns with your values?

  • Are they pricing fair in relation, and in comparison to, their respective peers, and does their portfolio and artist resume reflect that?

  • Do they have and value formal training?

  • Does their artist resume reflect their commitment to recording and strengthening their portfolio?

  • Finally does their portfolio strengthen those around them?

Jasyn’s work was last professionally appraised and valued by the late Gary Sherbain. Gary Sherbain was a well- respected leader and activist in the Winnipeg Academic and Indigenous Art Community. He operated the well-respected Wah-sa Gallery at the Forks Market in Winnipeg. Gary worked closely selling and promoting some of Canada’s finest Indigenous artist including Leland Bell and Daphne Odjig. He was first to term the “ Canadian Indian Group of Seven” consisting of Canadas Leading Indigenous Artists such as Jackson Beardy, Eddie Cobiness and Norval Morrisseau. Later Jasyn would enter the art scene and work with Gary for nearly ten years in art sales.At this time Gary valued Jasyn’s original paintings at 1.80 per sq. inch. Jasyn avoided the suggested 5 percent annual raise during the COVID Pandemic. Jasyn values his work at 1.90 per square inch,  a fair and modest increase.

As of 2024 Jasyn’s art will go up in retail value 5 percent per year. Returning customers, First Nations, and non-profits organizations can be eligible for discount on larger orders.

I sincerely appreciate your consideration in investing in my art. Aside from my artwork please keep me in mind for art work-shops, motivational speaking and presenting. I am always happy to help where I can
